Are you in the market for Boise real estate? Or perhaps you just want to learn a little more about Boise? Let us tell you all about the gorgeous City of Boise. In the photograph to the left, you will see the impressive architecture of the Boise State Capital building. Construction began on the Boise Capitol Building in 1905 and was finished in 1920. The majority of the building was constructed of sandstone, although much Italian marble was used as well. Although it is difficult to see from the photograph, the top of the dome has a five foot tall statue of a golden eagle. It is really very stunning. But the true value of Boise ID real estate can be found in mother nature. Boise homeowners have a phenomenal range of outdoor activities to enjoy. Some info on Julia Davis Park, paraphrased from Wikipedia: Julia Davis Park is the first park in the "string of pearls", the public park system found running through the middle of Boise, Idaho. This beautiful park was created thanks to a donation of 43 acres of land in 1907 by Thomas Davis as a memorial to his beloved wife, Julia. Today, the park encompasses a little over 89 acres of Boise ID real estate. It is centrally located within the city of Boise and is bordered by Broadway Avenue to the east, Capital Boulevard to the west, the Boise River to the south, and Myrtle Street to the north. Julia Davis Park is the cultural and historic center of the city. The park includes three nationally accredited museums-- the Boise Art Museum, the Idaho State Historical Museum, and the Idaho Black History Museum. Also located in the park are the Idaho Rose Society, Zoo Boise, and a lush Rose Garden. The park itself exhibits several works of art such as a 2002 statue by Jerry Snodgrass memorializing the pioneers who passed through the area including Julia Davis. Additionally, the Park has access to the Boise River, recreational sites such as a playground and tennis court, the Greenbelt, a pond, and "Friendship Bridge" which connects the park with Boise State University. And while we are on the subject, here is some more information on Boise State University: Boise State University is an excellent school, with a strong reputation.
