Relocating to Boise Idaho

When relocation is inevitable, there are many issues which will come to mind about the new place where you will live.  These issues include climate, housing, schools, city services and amenities, and many other things.  Boise ID relocation should be a very pleasant experience.  Others who have gone through the experience have found the area a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family

Boise and the surrounding communities have friendly people, a mild climate, and many cultural and recreational opportunities.  Good employment opportunities and affordable housing also abound in the Boise Valley area.  The quality of life, low cost of doing business, as well as an educated and motivated workforce provide valley companies with a healthy environment in which to do business.  The economy of the area includes a mix of business, education, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, government, and professional communities.

Nestled in the high desert of Treasure Valley against the majestic foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Boise is the state’s capital and the largest metropolitan area in Idaho.  While it is one of the most remote metropolitan areas in the United States, it is by no means isolated.  Easy access to major cities within the US is available from the Boise airport. 

There are several communities in close proximity to Boise which have unique personalities and characteristics.  The communities within Boise Valley include Eagle, Nampa, Meridian,  and Caldwell.  The Treasure Valley area offers river rafting, Nordic and Alpine skiing, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, backpacking, and camping.  Hiking, biking and fishing are popular activities available right in the metro area, accessed by miles of greenbelt along the Boise River.  The foothills provide hiking trails and bicycle trails suitable for all level of all abilities.  Some or all of these activities can be found in the Bosie Valley communities.

The Boise Metropolitan Statistical area includes Ada, Boise, Canyon, Gem, and Owyhee Counties.  The population within the Boise area is 615, 528.  About half of that number is the working populace.  The unemployment level is at a low 2.9%, and those who commute into Boise from surrounding areas have an average commuting time of 18 minutes.
