Tamarack Resort made the news when President George Bush visited the facility in 2005. The facility aside from Luxory Lodging for weekend and longer stay offers golf, tennis, hiking, mountain biking, water sports, Ampitheatre events and hiking in the summer months. In the winter Tamarack a phenomenal ski resort for Apline skiing, Nordic & Snowshoe, snow boarding and ski instruction.

An amazing 16 raptor species nest in the National Conservation Area and an additional 8 species either winter or use the area during migration.
